INTRODUCTION
ADVENTURE SPORT PROMOTIONS LLC. (REFERRED TO AS ASP LLC. HEREINAFTER)/WORLD OFF ROAD CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES (REFERRED TO AS WORCS HEREINAFTER) RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS SET FORTH HEREIN ARE DESIGNED TO ESTABLISH MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE REQUIREMENTS AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE ORDERLY CONDUCT OF RACING EVENTS. EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2002 THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS WILL GOVERN ALL ASP LLC/WORCS EVENTS. ALL ASP LLC. MEMBERS WILLINGLY PARTICIPATING IN THESE EVENTS ARE DEEMED TO HAVE COMPLIED WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS. NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATION OF, OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS. THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS ARE IN NO WAY A GUARANTEE AGAINST INJURY OR DEATH TO PARTICIPANTS, SPECTATORS, OR ANY OTHER PERSON OR PERSONS. THEY ARE INTENDED AS A GUIDE FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE SPORT ONLY



GENERAL RULES
1:Off road racing is a hazardous sport, and with participation being voluntary, no entrant, pit crew member or vehicle sponsor shall have any claim for damages, expenses, lawsuits or otherwise against promoter, track operator, ASP LLC., its officers, agents or directors arising from damage to any vehicle, personal injury or death, or monetary loss of any kind whatsoever. Entrants, pit crew members or vehicle sponsors who voluntarily participate in any racing activities conducted under these rules, waive any claim they may have against promoter, track operator, ASP LLC. its officers, agents or directors.


2:The promoter or track operator may run any type of approved ASP LLC. event.


3:The director shall have the authority to penalize, disqualify and/or suspend any entrant or crewmember for the violation of these rules including special rulings.


4:ASP LLC. may issue special rulings to account for conditions presented by the location of the race, the condition of the course or any other circumstance.


5:Supplementary regulations may be issued for each event as necessary to amend, suspend or modify existing rules and regulations.


6:ASP LLC. assumes no responsibility whatsoever for delays, postponements and/or cancellations of all or part of an event because of inclement weather, unsafe course conditions and/or any other reason.


7:ASP LLC. members are not employees of ASP LLC... ASP LLC.. members assume all responsibility for all charges, premiums and taxes payable on any funds they may receive as a result of their participation in any ASP LLC. sponsored event(s).


8:ASP LLC. reserves the right to refuse and/or deny any entry application.


9:Minibike riders must be on a 100cc or larger bike and possess an A-Expert Ability level ASP LLC. competition card to be eligible to ride in the Big Bike Classes.


10:Displacement modifications are legal by boring and stroking a motor to increase displacement within the displacement guidelines per class. Boring down to decrease displacement is strictly prohibited.

11:No rider is permitted to carry gasoline except for within the machine's fuel tank.


12:Safety equipment and machine eligibility are the sole responsibility of the rider.


13:ABSOLUTELY NO PIT RIDING ALLOWED AT ANY EVENT



ENTRANTS
1: Any entrant who fails to fully fill out and sign required entry forms and releases shall be disqualified and shall forfeit any prize money, points and contingencies won in that particular event. Entry forms and releases must be signed in person in front of ASP LLC. entry personnel. Identification may be required.

2: No entrant may enter racing areas until they have signed all releases and/or entry forms. No person shall sign the release or entry forms for anyone other than himself or herself. Proper identification may be required (i.e., picture ID).

3: The entry applications of persons under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the release form.

4: Any entrant who competes on a vehicle that he/she is not registered to ride per appropriate entry or permits such action, shall forfeit any and all prize money, points and contingencies won in that particular event. Such action may result in vehicle disqualification.




EVENT COURSE
1: A marked course is that official route designated by and marked with official ASP LLC. markings. All vehicles must follow this route during the event. No vehicle may deviate from the marked course at any time. Passing is only permitted where there is no vegetation on the side of the course. Short coursing is not permitted and will result in disqualification. Short coursing is defined as any deviation from the marked course resulting in either a time or position advantage. ASP LLC. is not responsible for markings that are damaged or removed. All vehicles must proceed only in the correct direction of the course route or trail. Riding backwards on the race course at any time is prohibited. Riding backwards on the course is grounds for penalties of up to and including disqualification.

2: Course may include trails, footpaths, roads, hills, motocross tracks, or any type of terrain which can be negotiated by a bike or ATV. The course will be open to inspection on Friday at 3:00 p.m. Participants that will not race the Pro events are permitted to walk or bicycle the course only. Pro racers are only permitted to enter the unclassified event, pro practice (must maintain course direction at all times) and the pro main event. No Pro racer shall be allowed to walk the course. If a rider leaves the course for any reason he must re-enter the course where he left. Riders must remain on the marked course. Any time double arrows are posted on both sides of the trail, riders must stay between the arrows. Markers may also include any device placed along the trail to help guide riders, including: ribbons, signs, stakes, hay bales, etc.… If the original marking devices are knocked down, the rider must stay on the original marked course.




PROTESTS
1: THE REFEREE, WITH OR WITHOUT PROTEST, HAS THE RIGHT TO PENALIZE, FINE, DISQUALIFY, AND/OR SUSPEND ANY VEHICLE OR ENTRANT FOR VIOLATION OF ANY ASP LLC. RULES. 2: Any Rider entered in the event may lodge a protest about a rider or the engine displacement of another rider in his class. 2a: The protest form can be obtained from the Referee, or at rider registration. The protest must be legible and give the protester’s name and riding number; the name and number of the person being protested; the condition or the action being protested; and the action desired by the protester. 2b: The rider must submit Protest form plus a $20.00 cash fee to the Referee within 30 minutes of race results being posted. If a rider is broken down on the track the rider may notify a Course Marshal with a radio of his/her intent to file a protest. In this case rider will have 30 minutes after returning to pits to submit protest. 2c: Engine displacement protests must be accompanied with a $200.00 cash teardown fee. The protester or designated representative will be allowed to be present during teardown and inspection. 2d: If the rider being protested is proven legal, rider shall receive all protest and teardown money. If the rider under protest is proven illegal, he/she will forfeit all protest money, teardown fees, and shall be responsible for any legitimate expenses incurred by ASP LLC along with all applicable penalties. 3: Riders may appeal Referee’s decision to the Competition Committee. The Competition Committee will meet and rule on all appeals within 7 days. All Competition Committee Decision will be considered final. 3a: Riders protests may be heard by the Competition Committee at the Referee’s request. 3b: Appeals will not be accepted related to maters for which no remedy is available. (for example: If the remedy would be to re-run an event)



RULE INFRACTIONS/PENALTIES
1: The following legend of infraction penalties is a guideline used by ASP LLC. in accessing penalties. These guidelines are not meant to infer that these are the only possible infractions or penalties that may be assessed against any entrant participating in a ASP LLC. sponsored event.

A. Race vehicle traveling on the racecourse in the reverse direction of
the race, at any time: Disqualification.

B. Pit support vehicles traveling on the racecourse at any time: Disqualification.

C. Abusive conduct toward a race official: Disqualification, suspension, one hundred dollar ($100) fine or any combination of the three.

D. Short coursing: Disqualification.

E. Outside assistance anywhere other than in designated pit area. Disqualification.

B. Passing in the scoring schute: 2 Positions.




RIDERS
1: Only entrants that are listed on official ASP LLC. entry form may ride the vehicle for which they are registered. No entrant may ride any vehicle for which they are not registered.

2: ASP LLC. reserves the right to change race vehicle numbers and/or background colors.

3: The rider must sign all entry forms and releases in person during the registration period to be eligible for points, contingencies,purse etc. during that event. Identification may be required.




PITS

You may ride your bike to and from the track AT first gear IDLE ONLY for your race ONLY and must wear a helmet at all times. Riders must register for the race before riding their machine anywhere
ANYONE FOUND PLAY RIDING IN THE PITS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED WITHOUT A REFUND-NO EXCEPTIONS.

1: At all times the rider assumes responsibility for the actions of their pit crew members, support crews, and all others associated with their organization. All pitting must be done in the designated pit area, no exceptions. Pit crew members are not allowed on the course. No rider is allowed to carry gasoline except inside his machine’s gasoline tank. No vehicle shall be towed, pushed, pulled or transported by any non-race-entered vehicle on the official course while an event is still in progress. Another race entered vehicle or an official ASP LLC. vehicle may push, pull or tow the race-entered vehicle up to the nearest pit stop or checkpoint. Only the vehicle occupant at the time of the breakdown may push the vehicle through the finish line. No other person or persons will be permitted to assist in pushing, pulling or towing the vehicle. ASP LLC.officials may assist the vehicle occupants if it is deemed necessary for the protection of the entrants.

2: Any pit support vehicle running on or near the racecourse will result in the entrant being disqualified. Any pit vehicle running backwards on the racecourse will cause race vehicle to be disqualified.

3: All pits must have the equivalent of a UL approved 20-lb. ABC fire extinguisher at all times; the extinguisher(s) must be manned during all pit stops.

4: All young children and pets must be kept out of the pit area.. Pets must be kept on a leash. All campfires must be kept out of immediate pit area. Campfires may not be permitted due to federal and state regulations.

5: All entrants are responsible for cleaning the pit areas they use during the event.

6: "Hot Pits" For the pro main a hot pit area will be established. Either a chalk line or a row of hay bales or both will define a safe zone for race vehicle servicing. The safe zone will be between the chalk line/hay bales and the recognized row of support vehicles/crew. Any full stop servicing or pit crew personnel beyond the safe zone during servicing will be penalized a minimum of a 2 minute penalty and or up to disqualification against the entrant being serviced.

7: Any Pit crew members disregarding these rules will subject their rider to disqualification.




TECHNICAL INSPECTION

1: IT IS THE ENTRANTS’, RIDERS’, OWNERS’. AND SPONSORS’ FULL RESPONSIBILITY TO MEET ALL ASP LLC. RULES AND REGULATIONS.

2:  ENTRANTS MUST MAKE ALL REASONABLE EFFORT TO ARRIVE TO STAGING A MINIMUM OF 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO START OF RACE.

3:  ASP LLC. RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SUBJECT ANY VEHICHLE TO A MECHANICAL INSPECTION AT THE DISCRETION OF THE TECHNICAL INSPECTOR. IN THE EVENT OF A MECHANICAL INSPECTION, THE RIDER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REMOVING OR REPAIRING THE REQUESTED ITEMS TO BE INSPECTED AS DIRECTED. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION OF ENTRANT AND VEHICHLE, AND MAY RESULT IN SUSPENSION FROM FUTURE ASP LLC. SPONSORED EVENTS.




COMPETITION
THE REGULATIONS HEREIN APPLY TO ALL CLASSES UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED IN SUPPLEMENTARY OR SPECIFIC CLASS REGULATIONS. MODIFICATIONS OR OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT IS NOT PERMITTED UNLESS THE CLASS REQUIREMENTS OR SAFETY REGULATIONS SPECIFICALLY STATE THAT IT WILL BE PERMITTED. ASP LLC. INTENT WHEN PRESCRIBING SPECIFICATIONS FOR SAFETY EQUIPMENT FOR VEHICLES THAT WILL COMPETE UNDER ASP LLC. RULES IS TO PROVIDE REASONABLE PROTECTION TO ALL ENTRANTS, PIT CREWS, OFFICIALS AND SPECTATORS. ASP LLC. ENCOURAGES ALL ENTRANTS TO GIVE FULL ATTENTION TO SAFETY REQUIREMENTS. ENTRANTS MUST WEAR AN APPROVED HELMET, PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, EYE PROTECTION AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT WHEN OPERATING A VEHICLE ON THE RACE COURSE AT ANY TIME.



SAFETY EQUIPMENT
1: Helmets - Helmets must be of the type approved by the Snell Memorial Foundation (1990 or 1995), with a Snell sticker attached. Straps must have D-ring fasteners only. No snaps or Velcro will be permitted. The interior and exterior areas of the helmet must be free of defects (i.e., the padding must be in good condition and the exterior of the helmet must not be damaged). ASP LLC. strongly recommends that entrants use helmets specifically designed for racing.

2: Protective clothing - Protective clothing accessories are required.


3: Eye protection - Shatter resistant eye protection is required for all motorcycle/quad entrants competing in a ASP LLC. event.




RACE VEHICLE NUMBERS
All vehicles in competition must be identified with the correct class vehicle numbers and be displayed in the proper locations as prescribed herein. It is recomended that vehicles have worcsracing.com across the top of the front number plate. Note: ASP LLC. assumes no responsibility for scoring vehicles with unrecognizable numbers. It is the vehicle rider’s responsibility for keeping numbers recognizable. All vehicles in competition must have identification numbers in the following locations and sizes: Minimum 6 inches high with 1/2-inch-wide stroke on each side of vehicle. Minimum 6 inches high located on the front of vehicle and plainly visible from the front of the vehicle



DISQUALIFICATION

1: Drinking intoxicating beverages in designated pits, on the racecourse or in the surrounding areas by any person is strictly forbidden. The use of narcotics, (amphetamines or any other stimulants, barbiturates or other depressants) is forbidden. Any entrant or crewmember in an event that shows evidence whatsoever of being under the influence of any of aforementioned shall be subject to suspensions from all future ASP LLC. sponsored events. Violator must leave the premises immediately at the direction of the RACE DIRECTOR.

2: Any entrant who makes a false statement on a contingency or entry form shall be disqualified and shall forfeit all prize money, points and all contingencies won in the race. Entrant may also be suspended from future events for a period of one year.

3: Any entry application containing a falsified signature will cause entrant to be disqualified and shall forfeit all prize money, points and contingencies won in that event. Entrant may also be suspended from future events for a period of one year.

4: Any entrant disqualified from any event for any reason whatsoever forfeits any and all rights to prize money, points and contingencies. Entrant will not be entitled to a refund of all or any portion of his/her entry fee.

5: Any entrant, respective pit crews or support crews seen or reported traveling on the course in other than race-registered vehicles participating in the event before the end of the official race time limit may subject entrant to penalties of disqualification and/or suspension.

6: Riders are responsible for all actions of the following: Parents, Kids, Guardians, Guests, Families, Pit Crews and Pets of the above.  Riders may be disqualified and or suspended for actions of any of the above.

There is no outside assistance permitted on the course or near the course during the event except for those ASP LLC. designated areas for pits and/or gas stops. ASP LLC. retains the right to assess each situation and respond accordingly. (Situations involving safety are at the discretion of the race director.)

In the event that a vehicle breaks down on the course the following options are approved by ASP LLC.. Any deviation from these options may result in entrant being disqualified.


A) Rider who is with vehicle at time of breakdown may walk to and from the nearest official ASP LLC. designated pit stop only, in order to retrieve equipment or parts necessary to repair vehicle. Anyone other than the vehicle occupant that deliver equipment or parts will subject that vehicle to disqualification.
B) Another race entered vehicle may pick up equipment or parts (GAS NOT ALLOWED) at the ASP LLC. designated pit stop and then deliver that equipment or parts to broken down vehicle. The race vehicle picking up the equipment or parts must travel in the proper direction on the course. Traveling backwards on the course will subject both entrants to disqualification. Any pit support vehicle or other than race entered vehicles delivering parts to a broken down vehicle will subject entrant to disqualification.

7: Any race entrant or their support personnel who subject any ASP LLC. official, other race entrants or their support personnel to verbal threats and/or physical abuse will be brought before the director. The director will make the decision of disqualification and/or suspension of the rider and the offending support personnel for said offenses. Acts of physical abuse may be reported to the proper authorities and may lead to legal action.

8: Deliberate vehicle contact shall be reason for penalty, disqualification and/or suspension at the discretion of the director.

9: If a racer is DSQed for a displacement violation all points for that class will be forfeited for the season.

10: DSQ’s are non-droppable and will count towards championship points

Prod A, Stock A, Open A RIDERS WHO QUALIFY DURING SATURDAY EVENTS TO RIDE IN THE MAIN PRO RACE

Must be WORCS Member. Qualifying will be as follows: a total of twenty riders will qualify from the A classes during Saturday's events. Top twelve (12) Overall A riders from race #3 (Prod A, Stock A) and top eight (8) Overall A riders from race #6 (Open A). Which class an A rider competes in is irrelevant; qualifying is based on overall finish in races stated above. If a qualified A rider passes on riding the the Pro-Am class on Sunday, the only riders eligible to fill the position will be first the current top ten in points in Pro-AM and second A Class Champions from any prior racing season. Registration for the Pro-Am class closes at 10:00am Sunday.

EXPERT/INTERMEDIATE LEVEL RACERS.

  1. "A" Racers must not have raced a Pro class/Payback class in a like discipline or comparable series with in the last two years t be eligible to ride the "A" skill level.
  2. Contingency payback does not make a classs "PRO".

The following race or series are excluded from above:

  2. Adelanto GP
  3. Any team race
  4. Any non-comparable discipline or like series.

The like discipline or comparable series' are:

TRANSFER CRITERIA
PRO "2" TO PRO MOVE UP CRITERIA. PRO "2" WILL BE MOVED TO THE PRO CLASS IN THE FOLLOWING INSTANCES. AS LONG AS THE RIDER IS 16 YEARS OLD OR OLDER. PRO "2"s THAT FINISH IN THE TOP 5 OF ANY EVENT WITH 25 PROS AND 7 OF THE CURRENT TOP 10 IN POINTS FINISH THAT EVENT, OR TOP 3 AT ANY TIME WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY MOVED TO PRO FOR THE FOLLOWING EVENT. AMATEUR RIDERS WILL BE TRANSFERED TO THE NEXT ABILITY LEVEL AFTER 3 FIRST PLACES AT THE "C" SKILL LEVEL, 2 FIRSTS AND 2 SECONDS, OR AT THE DISCRETION OF ASP LLC.. "B" SKILL LEVEL RIDERS MAY BE TRANSFERED AFTER 3 FIRST OR 2 FIRST AND 2 SECONDS, OR AT THE DISCRETION OF ASP LLC.. A RIDER AT "C" & "B" SKILL LEVELS MAY BE MOVED IMEADIATLY BY ASP LLC. IF IT IS DETERMINED THAT A RACER IS QUALIFIED TO TRANSFER TO A HIGHER ABILITY CLASSIFICATION, THAT RACER WILL BE NOTIFIED AND IS EXPECTED TO ADHERE TO SUCH DECISION. SANDBAGGERS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED WITHOUT A REFUND. RIDERS WHO TRANSFER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEASON WILL CARRY 50% OF THEIR EARNED POINTS. TRANSFERED RIDERS MUST RACE 60% OF THE EVENTS REQUIRED FOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IN HIGHER SKILL LEVEL TO BE ELIGABLE FOR THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IN THE NEW SKILL LEVEL.

National Amateur Championships: 8 of 10. Count 8 best finishes/highest points. For Each additional DNF or better the participant will receive 5 points for a maximum total of 10 to be added to year end total. Participant can only earn addtional points for class of DNF or better at 2 additional rounds.

Minimum Races Required For National Championships: 60% in that classification.


 Pro and  PRO 2 Championships count 10 out of 10.

Ties for class championship will be broken by the most First place finishes first, then by most Second place finishes, then by most Third place finishes and then by the best finish in the final race if necessary.

Bumped riders will carry 50% of their earned points prior to getting bumped.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP
COST IS - $40.00 ADULTS AND $30 YOUTH ASP LLC. POINTS FOR YEAR-END TROPHIES AND ALL ASP LLC. GENERATED “PAY-BACK”, WILL ONLY BE AWARDED TO ASP LLC. MEMBERSHIP CARDS WILL COST $40 ADULT, $30 YOUTH WILL BE VALID FOR YEAR ISSUED ONLY. $10 DAY PASSES ARE AVAILABLE. RACERS MUST COMPETE IN AT LEAST 60% OF THE RACES IN A SEASON TO BE ELIGABLE FOR YEAR END AWARDS.



SOUND REQUIRMENT
ALL RACE VEHICLES WILL BE REQUIRED TO MEET THE MIC STANDARD OF 99db PRIOR TO COMPETTING IN THE EVENT. SOUND TESTING WILL BE CONDUCTED AT THE TECH INSPECTION BOOTH. ALL ENTRANTS INTO THE PRO MAIN EVENT WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS BOTH PRIOR TO AND AFTER THE PRO MAIN EVENT. A MAXIMUM OF 2% ELEVATION IN SOUND LEVEL AFTER THE EVENT WILL BE ACCEPTABLE.



RADIO COMUNICATIONS
RADIO COMMUNICATIONS ARE AUTHORIZED WITH THE FOLLOWING LIMITATIONS. RADIO COMMUNICATION FROM RACER TO PIT CREW AND BETWEEN PIT CREW MEMBERS IS ALLOWED AS LONG AS THE PIT CREW MEMBERS STAY IN THE GENERALLY RECOGNIZED SPECTATOR AREAS. GENERALLY RECOGNIZED SPECTATOR AREAS INCLUDE ANY PARKING LOT FOR GENERAL PUBLIC, THE FENCED IN INFIELDS OF THE MOTOCROSS TRACK AND THE DESIGNATED PIT AREA AS DEFINED IN THE RIDERS MEETING FOR THAT EVENT. PIT CREWS ARE NOT ALLOWED BEYOND THESE AREAS WITH OR WITH OUT RADIO COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT. VIOLATION OF THIS POLICY CAN HAVE A PENALTY UP TO DISQUALIFICATION OF ALL RACE TEAM MEMBERS ENTERED INTO THAT EVENT.
